CleanBC Dual Fuel Rebate
Space heating is the largest use of energy in homes. A properly installed heat pump is two to three times more efficient than other alternatives and can provide you with both heating and cooling for today’s cold winters and hot summers.
A dual fuel ducted heat pump combines a heat pump and a gas or propane furnace for back up heating, distributing heat and cooling through ductwork connected to vents in each room. A switch-over set point temperature determines when the backup furnace turns on.

Income Qualified Furnace Replacement Program
Our income qualified furnace replacement program offers up to $5,000 up front to Income Qualified Customers who purchase and install a high efficiency ENERGY STAR® natural gas or propane furnace or boiler to replace their existing furnace or boiler.
THIS PROGRAM IS EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 1st, 2023, AND ENDS ON THE EARLIER OF DECEMBER 31, 2024, OR WHEN FUNDING HAS BEEN FULLY ALLOCATED.
Residential Dual Fuel Ducted Heat Pump Top Up
Our residential dual-fuel ducted heat pump top up offers up to $2,500 in rebates to customers who have received a Dual-Fuel Ducted Heat Pump Rebate from CleanBC. There is an additional incentive of $1,000 available to customers who replace their furnace with an ENERGY STAR® natural gas furnace and install a heat pump.
THE PROGRAM IS EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 1ST, 2023, AND ENDS WHEN FUNDING HAS BEEN FULLY ALLOCATED.
Dual fuel heating system rebate: electric heat pump combined with gas furnace (Rebates up to $13000)
Our dual fuel heating system rebate helps offset the cost of installing a new electric heat pump with a new high-efficiency gas furnace.1 When you install a qualifying dual fuel system you’ll have access to a reliable and efficient heating system to keep your home warm and comfortable, even on the coldest days—while also benefiting from cooling on hot days, and a system that can be more than 100 per cent efficient under certain conditions.
We’re offering this rebate for customers who want a higher-efficiency heating and cooling system that can replace their aging gas furnace, helping to reduce their energy use and associated greenhouse gas emissions.
